The ESPR establishes a framework for setting ecodesign requirements that products have to comply with to be placed on the market or put into service. It aims to make sustainable products the norm and reduce their overall carbon and environmental footprint while ensuring their free movement within the internal market. The ESPR will introduce requirements gradually through future delegated acts, enabling tailored measures for specific products.
